One person has been taken to hospital after a single-vehicle crash near two schools Thursday morning in Saanich.
In a post on twitter, Saanich police say the driver of the car that went off the road in the 1000-block of Burnside Road West had a medical event before the crash.
First responders performed CPR on the driver when they arrived and there are no other injuries reported.
The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. near Marigold elementary and Spectrum secondary schools and bus service was shut down with emergency crews on the scene.
Police are asking the public to stay clear of the area with traffic delayed and they do not have an estimated time on when it will be open.
