Sidney/North Saanich RCMP are looking for witnesses after an SUV flipped onto its side in North Saanich early Wednesday morning.
RCMP, Central Saanich Police, North Saanich firefighters and B.C. paramedics were called to a crash on Tatlow Road at around 6 a.m., according to RCMP.
Police said they have determined that a driver in a Grey Audi SUV left the road and hit several trees. The SUV then came to a rest on the passenger side.

The driver, a 24-year-old man from North Saanich, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in critical condition. The man was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the collision.

Police said prior to the collision, there was a report of a hit-and-run on Gabriola Place in Sidney. Police are investigating to see if the two collisions are related.
Anyone who saw the crash on Tatlow Road, saw the Grey SUV driving before the crash or has any information about either of the collisions is asked to contact Sidney/North Saanich RCMP at 250-656-3931, their local police department or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
