Police are on the hunt for a suspect and a stolen vehicle associated with a recent armed robbery near Victoria.

At around 3 p.m. on Dec. 3, a male suspect entered a gas station on Burnside Road West and Harriet Road, walked up to the cashier, pulled out a knife and demanded money, according to the Saanich Police Department.

The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash, exited the storefront, and then entered a red vehicle, which was last seen heading westbound on Burnside Road West, police say.

No one involved in the alleged incident was physically harmed.

The suspect is described as a five-foot-five inch tall slim-built male with short dark black hair, a long, black-sleeved shirt that had a white undershirt.

The vehicle linked to the incident is described as a red 2022 Hyundai Kona with B.C. license plate HJ6-35J. Saanich PD says the Kona was reported stolen from the Nanaimo area earlier on Dec. 3

“If you see this vehicle with the matching plate, please call 9-1-1 immediately. Do not approach the suspect, as he is considered armed and dangerous,” Const. Markus Anastasiades, media relations officer with the Saanich Police Department, said in a press release.
