Our Place Society has a busy Wednesday in store with two events planned to help vulnerable people during the holidays.
Angel Gifts, a program run by Our Place volunteer Linda Ryder, will hand out more than 700 personized gifts for people living in poverty.
The campaign has existed for 15 years with help from volunteers and local churches, schools and community groups.
Each gift has a value of close to $40.
Volunteers of the Congregation of Emanu El will be in the Our Place kitchen to celebrate Hanukkah for The Big Latke Lunch from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Our Place says it generally serves between 350 and 450 people over lunchtime.
