Jasmine Bala was born in Abbotsford, B.C. and moved to Brampton, Ont. when she was very young.

She graduated from Ryerson University’s journalism program in 2019 and moved to Lethbridge, Alta. to work as a video journalist for Global News. Jasmine joined the CHEK News team in November 2019, where she anchors, reports, shoots video and edits on a daily basis.

In her free time, Jasmine likes to take photos, travel, drink iced cappuccinos and play the occasional video game.
