
Campbell River RCMP is investigating after a pedestrian was hit by the driver of a vehicle early Thursday morning.
Police responded to the 300 block of Cedar Street at approximately 5:30 a.m.
One woman was taken to hospital and is in serious, but stable condition.
The area around Cedar St. was closed for several hours to allow for a thorough investigation by RCMP traffic analysts.
“We would like to thank the public for their patience and co-operation this morning, especially the students that had to adjust their route to school,” said Const. Maury Tyre.
Officers are asking for the public’s help with this case.
Anyone who was in the area around 5-5:30 a.m. and witnessed the incident or was travelling in the vicinity and has dash cam footage, is asked to contact Campbell River RCMP at 250-286-6221.
