A pop-up camper burnt down at a Courtenay RV Park Saturday, luckily the tent trailer was only being used for storage at the site.

An employee at the Maple Pool Campground And RV Park says the owner of the trailer called 911 Saturday afternoon after noticing the fire.

This prompted the Courtenay Fire Department to respond to the 4600-block of Headquarters Road.

A viewer video sent in shows the moment crews arrived and started dousing the flames.

The trailer was described as very old, and the owner says that its loss is not a financial one.
