New Westminster teacher knows the score, makes it two wins in a row on Jeopardy!
CHEK

History repeated itself in more ways than one for Ali Hasan in the latest episode of Jeopardy! that aired on CHEK on Wednesday evening.

The secondary school teacher from New Westminster, B.C. was once again in the lead heading into the final round, and once again proved to be the only contestant to answer the final Jeopardy! question correctly.

He won a total of $26,401 after answering “What is the Surprise Symphony” to the question “Not in the initial score, the feature giving this symphony its byname was a whim added by the composer close to its 1792 debut.”

A reference to Haydn’s Symphony No. 94 in G Major.

It gives Hasan a 2-day total of $46,802

He will try to make it three wins in a row on Thursday evening.

If he succeeds, Friday’s episode already shows another Canadian contestant, Jordan Nussbaum of Thornhill, Ontario, set to take part.

Jeopardy! and its host, Alex Trebek, are in their 34th season in syndication.

With 23 million viewers each week, Jeopardy! is the top-rated quiz show on television.

Jeopardy! airs on CHEK from Monday to Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
