A pair of Canadian Navy ships will sail past the Victoria shoreline on Monday before they depart on a four-month deployment overseas.
The HMCS Vancouver and HMCS Ottawa, as well as the MV Asterix, were originally scheduled to sail past Victoria on Friday, but the departure was postponed until Monday morning.
The sail past begins at 11:40 a.m. near Trial Islands, and will be viewable from shore at these approximate times Friday:
- Clover Point: Noon
- Saxe Point: 12:20 p.m.
- Esquimalt Lagoon: 12:30 p.m.
The navy ships are bound for the Indo-Pacific region for their deployment, according to a release from the Department of National Defence.
The DND says it will also upload images of the ship’s leaving the Island on the CFB BFC Esquimalt Facebook page.
