An employee working at a pharmacy in Nanaimo has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to a March 13 update on Loblaws Inc.’s website, an employee working at Shoppers Drug Mart on Fifth Street in Nanaimo recently tested positive for the virus.
The company does not disclose when its employees test positive but said the employee’s last shift at the pharmacy was March 11.
“We work closely with public health and follow their guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in our stores,” Loblaws said in a statement on their website.
Ontario-based Loblaws Inc. is the parent company of both Shoppers Drug Mart and the Real Canadian Superstore.
