Tori Bruce Schild was arrested on Feb. 27 when officers from Nanaimo RCMP General Investigation Section showed up at his home. He was arrested on charges related to possessing, downloading and distributing child pornography.

The investigation against Schild was launched back in May 2018 when information was provided to authorities from the British Columbia Integrated Child Exploitation Unit.

Our officers are dedicated and extremely knowledgeable in the techniques and software used by offenders who attempt to mask their online identities. The message is clear- there is no where to hide, and if you are involved in these activities, the next knock on your door, could be from the police, said Constable Gary O’Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP.

According to police, no local victims were identified during the investigation.
