More details about the Addenbroke floatplane crash victims released

A Cessna 208 Caravan went down on Addenbroke Island on July 26, 2019.

The BC Coroners Service has released more details about the four people who died in a floatplane crash on Addenbroke Island on July 26.

Four people were killed and five were injured when the Seaair Seaplanes went down on the island, which is approximately 100 kilometres north of Port Hardy.

The BC Coroners Service said all of the victims have all been identified and next of kin have been notified.

While pilot Al McBain, 59, was also identified by family and friends, the names of the other victims have not been made public. However, the BC Coroners Service has released their ages and where they are from.

The three passengers who died include a man in his 40s from South Carolina, a man in his 60s from Germany and a man in his 70s from Washington State.

ransportation Safety Board investigators are on site assessing the wreckage of the Cessna 208.
