Missing Saanich teen believed to be in Downtown Eastside: police

Saanich Police say new information received about missing teen Zenaeh Edwards-Helgason indicates she was seen in the Downtown Eastside on Jan. 10.

Edwards-Helgason has been missing since Dec. 19, 2022. She is 17-years-old, 5’6″ tall with an average build and black hair.

She is considered a high-risk missing person, which under B.C.’s provincial policing standards can be someone whose health or well-being may be in danger due to physical or mental illness, addictions, disability or age.

Previously Saanich Police released images of two men who investigators believed had information about Edwards-Helgason’s whereabouts.

One of the men has been identified, and investigators are still hoping to identify the other man shown in the picture below.

Anyone who sees Edwards-Helgason is asked to call 911.

Anyone with information that can help investigators find Edwards-Helgason is asked to call the Saanich Police Department at 250-475-4321 or the Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
