WATCH: While Vancouver Islanders saw glimpses of the sun Thursday and Friday between rain showers, no sun is expected for the next few days.
A strong low-pressure system is sliding toward the south coast of BC, bringing mainly cloudy skies and rain to the Island, and strong winds to some regions.
On Saturday, the west coast of the Island can expect the rain to be heavy at times, with up to 40 mm expected, along with southeast winds 40 to 60 km/h in the morning.
