Look for sunny skies, with some cloudy periods, for Victoria Day Monday

Vancouver Islanders can expect sunshine for Victoria Day Monday, although it will be mixed with partly cloudy skies.

Daytime highs are expected to reach 21 degrees in Victoria, with highs between 20 and 22 degrees for East Vancouver Island communities such as Nanaimo and the Comox Valley.

West coast communities such as Tofino and Ucluelet will wake to fog on Victoria Day, which will gradually dissipate. Look for afternoon highs on the west coast from 15 to 17 degrees.

Inland regions such as the Alberni Valley are expected to reach 24 or 25 degrees.

Watch for temperatures to continue to climb on Tuesday and Wednesday, as skies clear.
