Local talent shines in WLA draft

WATCH: Victoria Junior Shamrocks players Brad McCulley, Marshal King and Braylon Lumb went back-to-back-to-back in the first round of the 2019 WLA Graduating Player Draft on Thursday night in Langley.

McCulley was the first Shamrock taken off the board at number three overall by the Langley Thunder, followed by King being selected by the Maple Ridge Burrards with the 4th pick. Lumb was swung to the other side of the Island rivalry when the Nanaimo Timbermen selected him at number five overall. With the 6th overall pick, the Victoria Shamrocks selected Keegan Bell from New Westminster, who had 67 points in 20 games of junior lacrosse last year.
