Nanaimo RCMP says a resident turned in a “large sum” of cash that was found on a sidewalk around three weeks ago.
In a release, the RCMP says a man was out for a morning run around 7:30 a.m. when he found cash lying on the sidewalk.
He stopped to pick it up and to collect the additional bills that had been strewn about but was unable to find an envelope.
After he picked up all the cash he saw, he then carried on with his run and called the police when he returned home.
The RCMP is not releasing the exact amount of money but says it is between $200-2,000.
