Starting Monday, drivers are advised to watch for temporary lane markings and a lower speed limit on Highway 1 as work continues at the McKenzie interchange project.

Traffic will be shifted to temporary lanes and the construction zone speed limit will be reduced to 50 kilometres per hour.

The changes will be in place so crews can install the new Capital Regional District (CRD) water main.

The changes will be in effect all day for about a week.

The Galloping Goose Trail will stay open for pedestrians and cyclists, who are asked to watch for signs and workers.
