The cool showery weather pattern that had been affecting B.C. for the last couple of weeks has given way to a building ridge of high pressure.

Sunny skies and much warmer weather are on tap for the next several days.

Temperatures away from the immediate coast will start to peak into the low thirties Monday and Tuesday, about 10 degrees above seasonal.

The ridge is expected to stick around until Wednesday with the warmest temperatures on Monday and Tuesday.
