Hazy skies and high temperatures expected for next few days over Vancouver Island

A heat wave will continue for the south coast of British Columbia, and for Vancouver Island.

A massive ridge of high pressure will continue to remain over southern BC, bringing record-breaking high temperatures to parts of Vancouver Island.

Daytime maximum temperatures will range from the upper 20’s on the west coast, into the low- 30’s, and even the mid-30’s through Friday for communities in Inland Vancouver Island.

Skies over much of the Island will remain hazy as smoke from the wildfires in the interior hang over the region.
