Hens and chicks — Sempervivum tectorum — is a succulent that does well planted in sandy soil. They usually come in greens and reddish purples.

In this segment, Gord shows Hannah a unique way to plant Hens and Chicks in a featherock planter.

Featherock is a lightweight, natural volcanic rock, also known as pumice. The rock is very easy to drill into, making it a one-of-a-kind planter for any plant, especially Hens and Chicks.

Gord then goes over watering and care, to ensure they thrive in your space.
