If you’re looking for something that is little to no maintenance, no soil, and no watering, your best choice would be the waxed amaryllis bulbs.
A thick coat of wax is poured over the bulb, holding all the stored nutrients and water it needs to grow and bloom. All you have to do is place it in your house near some natural light and watch the shoots emerge with stunning flowers.
Wax bulbs are only good for one season and can be composted.
