A community-favourite tradition is returning to Victoria this weekend.

The Free-B Film Festival kicks off its 2023 season on Friday, Aug. 11.

The festival showcases family-friendly movies every Friday and Saturday throughout the month of August, rain or shine.

The movies are shown at the Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park around 9 p.m., once it gets dark.

While admission is free, movie-goers are encouraged to bring blankets, snacks and a flashlight to the park.

In addition to the nightly movies, a French-language short will also screened before each film.
