A community-favourite tradition is returning to Victoria this weekend.
The Free-B Film Festival kicks off its 2023 season on Friday, Aug. 11.
The festival showcases family-friendly movies every Friday and Saturday throughout the month of August, rain or shine.
The movies are shown at the Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park around 9 p.m., once it gets dark.
While admission is free, movie-goers are encouraged to bring blankets, snacks and a flashlight to the park.
In addition to the nightly movies, a French-language short will also screened before each film.

- Aug. 18 – Paris when it sizzles

- Aug. 26 – Plan 9 From Outerspace (1959)
