WATCH: A special Environment Canada weather statement has been issued for East Vancouver Island, Greater Victoria, the Gulf Islands, Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver. Expect a cold blast of arctic air to mix with moving moisture setting up for snow for Thursday night and Friday. A few centimetres is expected but some areas including Victoria could get much higher amounts.
It’s clear, windy and cold tonight with lows of -4 and a wind chill of -8 C. Thursday the cloud increases with a mix of showers and flurries changing to periods of snow by Thursday night. Highs tomorrow will around 2 C with snow expected to continue into Friday. Cold conditions and more chances of snowfall remain in place for most of next week.
