This is the third structure fire in Coombs in as many weeks.

A fire on Grafton Ave. in Coombs on Saturday evening is the third structure fire in as many weeks, according to Coombs-Hillier Fire Department.

Officials say that the fire was at a small workshop at approximately 8:45 p.m. in the 2900 block of Grafton Ave.

Crews saw heavy smoke and fire on arrival, and the Coombs-Hillier Fire Department was supported by resources from Dashwood, Errington, Parksville and Qualicum.

No injuries were reported in the incident, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
