If you are looking for Canada’s friendliest city, Tofino is near the top of the list.
Expedia’s 2018 ranking has Tofino ranked third overall of the top-25 friendliest cities in Canada, the only B.C. community in the top-10.
The travel site says the communities that made the list got the highest scores in hotel reviews from more than 750 cities.
“It might just be those surfer vibes that make Tofino, British Columbia, so friendly,” Expedia said.
“The beautiful waves and relaxed atmosphere certainly make an impression on visitors.”
Neighbouring Ucluelet is the next highest B.C. community on the list at 15th overall.
The report says Ucluelet is so lovely “you can’t help but have a grin on your face”.
Courtenay made the list at 17 and Victoria ranks 23rd.
Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario is rated as Canada’s most friendly city.
