In celebration of the Christmas season, the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver is organizing a year-end event, dubbed “Maligayang Pasko, Vancouver!”, to be held at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Centre at 3150 Ast St., Vancouver, BC, on 6 December 2019 (Friday) from 4 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Through this event, the Consulate aims to provide guests, including non-Filipinos and Fil-Canadian youth and kids, with a memorable personal experience of how Filipinos celebrate Christmas back home, from the familiar music that fills the air to the aroma of favorite Christmas fare to the ubiquitous parols that adorn our homes and streets. At the same time, we hope to create a space where our kababayans can come for their Christmas shopping and entertainment.
Some of the participating vendors and exhibitors are Goldilocks, La Glace, Shameless Buns, Max’s Food Truck, Potato Corner, Plato Filipino, Tikim Asian Fusion, Win Win Chick-N, Pampanga’s Cuisine, The Khaykery, Kaye Bakes, Bukobaba Essentials Inc., KAPE, Corinthian Distributors Ltd., and Philippine Airlines.
Filipino favorites like puto bumbong, bibingka, queso de bola, hamon, lechon, balut, nilaga at pritong mani and other street food will be available for sale.
The event is open to the public and free of charge.
