Enjoy partly sunny skies next few days, until rain returns later this week

Clouds will increase overnight as a weak ridge of high pressure over the south coast gradually breaks down.

Look for a mix of sun and cloud tomorrow for southern sections of Vancouver Island, but increasing cloud and showers by mid-afternoon for northern sections.

By Thursday, Islanders can expect mainly cloudy skies and a few showers, which will hang around for Friday.

But the forecast calls for sunshine to return by next weekend.

Highs from 17 to 20 degrees, overnight lows from 9 to 12.
