Electric bikes and buses on display during the Smart Mobility Expo

WATCH: From electric boats to electric buses, the latest in smart mobility was on display in downtown Victoria on Tuesday. 

The South Island Prosperity Project organized the Smart Mobility Expo. Vehicles from electric transit buses to high-tech garbage trucks to the latest in electric bicycles were on display. The event at Victoria’s Centennial Square was designed to showcase innovation in transportation technology.

The display was also part of the South Island Prosperity Project’s effort to win the Smart City Challenge. Greater Victoria could win a $10 million prize fro the federal government to put toward infrastructure, such as transportation.
