Ed's Forecast: Wind warning for the south Island tonight and wet snow possible for the east side

WATCH: A low offshore is tracking in and will bring moist air that will meet colder interior air overnight resulting in wet snow over the east Island from Campbell River right down to Nanaimo and the Malahat.

A wind warning is posted for Greater Victoria with southeast winds gusting to 70 km/hr tonight and into Saturday.

Rain and wind will push in again later Saturday setting up a wet-windy pattern for Sunday. Lows tonight will drop to around 4 C on the south Vancouver Island with strong southeast wind and rain.

Saturday will have morning showers or wet flurries over the Malahat with rain building in by late day, highs tomorrow will be mild at 8 C.

Sunday should be another wet one with rain and very windy conditions.
