Ed’s Forecast: Showers due tomorrow but back to sunshine after that

A slump in the high-pressure ridge tonight will allow a system from the north to slide in and bring rain to the North Island and showers to the south. The ridge will rebuild by late Wednesday and sunshine will return Thursday and Friday. Look for a partly cloudy evening with a few showers and a low of 8 C. Wednesday will begin with clouds and showers but as the wind picks up some clearing will occur with a few sunny breaks in the afternoon and highs of 14 C.
