WATCH: A low off the north Island will drift eastward tonight and bring a few showers in overnight and Thursday morning.
High pressure is building behind it and sunshine and warmer air will be in place by Friday. Just a few showers tonight and some breeze with lows of 9 C. Thursday expect morning showers some southeast wind and highs of 14 C. Friday will be sunny and a little warmer and the weekend looks great with temperatures in the low 20s.
