The snow began to fall on Christmas Eve across many parts of Vancouver Island. A snowfall warning issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada remains in effect Sunday night for the East, West and North Island. Meteorologists are predicting up to ten centimetres of snow at higher terrain and two to five centimetres elsewhere. There is also a chance of flurries on Christmas Day.
