A COVID-19 exposure has been reported at Lake Cowichan Secondary School.
Lake Cowichan Secondary School says on Facebook Thursday it has had a COVID-19 exposure.
The dates identified by Island Health in a notification letter are Jan. 20, 21, 22 and 25.
The health district says it has completed contact tracing to identify students or staff that need to self-isolate or self-monitor for symptoms.
The notification says the individual that is infected is isolating and is being followed by Island Health.
“This was a very limited exposure and all those who were potentially exposed have been contacted,” the school’s Facebook post about the exposure notification says.
“However, this is a good reminder to our community to not let their guard down and keep vigilant about mask wearing, hand washing and social distancing.”
