The City of Colwood is asking beach-goers to be careful after medication was cleaned up from the Esquimalt Lagoon.

In a post on Facebook, Colwood says the medication was cleaned up just beyond the public washrooms.

“The Colwood Parks Team has removed the medication that washed up on the Lagoon Beach this morning beyond the washroom building,” the post says. “Please use caution with children and pets in this area in the event that a stray pill may remain.”

CHEK News has reached out to the City of Colwood and the West Shore RCMP for more information.

The story will be updated with additional details as they become available.
