Carjacked Esquimalt senior gets car back

WATCH: An Esquimalt senior who was carjacked over the weekend has gotten his car back. Calvin To met up with him today.

An Esquimalt senior whose car was stolen over the weekend has had it returned to him.

The 74-year-old man works as a newspaper carrier and was carjacked on Sunday at 3 a.m. as he was making deliveries in Oak Bay.

CHEK News is not revealing his identity for safety reasons.

He was not injured in the incident.

According to Oak Bay police, as a result of media coverage, a tow truck company saw the stolen car parked illegally near Quadra Avenue and View Street on Monday afternoon.

The keys were found in the car and nothing was missing.

It was also not damaged.

Police are appealing to the public for information that could help solve this case.
