The HMCS ALBERNI Museum and Memorial is proud to present its 2018 feature exhibit “INNOCENT EYES; war from a different perspective” showing August 1 through October 13. This exhibit consists of over 30 panels which tells stories of children, by children, for children who have been affected by wars and crisis. Spanning 100 years, IE stories cover the joys, the tears, and the resilience of children as well as encouraging modern era children to become aware of alternate choices made in a technical age. There is even an interactive storybook story of the real Winnie the Pooh. As part of the three month exhibit HAMM will also host a free Children’s Peace Concert in August and a special film screening of HE NAMED ME MALALA in September. October HAMM will present an island wide child and youth art show by the Baha’i communities of Vancouver Island. For more information contact HAMM…
