Funds raised from the Battle of the Dad Bands will go towards 2023 Canadian Cancer Society Tour de Rock.

An upcoming event offers an opportunity to have a fun night out, listen to some awesome music, and support a great cause.

The much anticipated musical extravaganza, Battle of the Dad Bands on Saturday, May 27 at Capital Ballroom will raise funds for the 2023 Canadian Cancer Society Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock.

Ticket sales will directly benefit CHEK’s Hannah Lepine and the rest of the team’s fundraising efforts.

The show features CHEK’s very own Ed Bain and his Tour de Rock alumni band, Big Font, Not 4 Public Consumption, and special guest band, Last Night in Vegas.

Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society through Tour de Rock are used to fund life-saving pediatric cancer research, and support programs like Camp Goodtimes. Camp Goodtimes is a medically supervised, unforgettable summer camp for children and teens affected by cancer and their families.

Merchandise sales at the event will go to benefit Balding for Dollars, which is an organization in partnership with the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation to raise funds to support programs that benefit oncology, hematology and bone marrow transplant patients in B.C.

The money raised goes to programs to support patients’ quality of life and donated hair is used to make wigs for kids.

Tickets for Battle of the Dad Bands can be purchased at the Admitone link or available at the door.

Be sure to bring your voice and make some noise for your favourite band, as they battle it out on stage and cover legendary hits! If you cannot attend but would still like to show your support for Hannah Lepine and the Tour de Rock team, her fundraising page can be found here.
