Monday marked the beginning of a smoke-free environment on board all B.C. Ferries’ vessels and at all terminals.
The company announced the change in the summer which applies to smoking not be permitted for tobacco, vapour products, e-cigarettes and medical marijuana.
The new policy is for all B.C. Ferries’ employees and customers.
B.C. Ferries says they received many customer requests to move to a smoke-free environment.
The policy change coincides with National Non-Smoking Week, which runs until Sunday.
