A senior citizen was allegedly caught driving while impaired on St. Patrick’s Day.
According to an Oak Bay Police Department press release, they received a report of an erratic white Nissan Versa driving in the 1900-block of Bee Street at around 9 p.m. March 17.
Eventually, an officer located the Nissan parked one metre from the curb with a 75-year-old woman sitting in the driver’s seat.
An impaired driving investigation was conducted and the woman was charged with impaired operation of a conveyance and refusing to provide a breath sample, the release notes.
She was issued a 90-day driving prohibition and her Nissan Versa was impounded.
