Two flights that arrived on Vancouver Island from Calgary had COVID-19 cases onboard.
The British Columbia Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) has added WestJet 3153 from Calgary to Nanaimo Aug. 23 and 14-20
WestJet 491 from Calgary to Comox on Aug. 25 to their exposure list.
The affected rows on WestJet 3153 are 14-20 while the affected rows on WestJet 491 are 15-21.
BCCDC says passengers who were on a flight that has been added to the province’s COVID-19 exposure list should self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days and those who were sitting in rows identified are considered to be at a higher risk of exposure due to their proximity.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, chills, cough or worsening of chronic cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of sense of smell or taste, runny nose, headache and fatigue.
A total of 120 flights that either departed or landed at airports on Vancouver Island have been added to the province’s exposure list this year.
