The Royal BC Museum has 225,000 plant specimens in its collections.

The curator of botany, Ken Marr, shows us where hundreds of thousands of specimens are stored in the Royal BC Museum, collected over nearly 150 years. The museum shares the data online and with researchers around the world. The collection of flora is available to scientists who wish to study them. Some scientists have taken DNA samples to determine how plants have changed over time and through climate change.
