Some might say one of the best things about springtime in Victoria is the copious amounts of cherry blossoms that paint the city pink between February and April.

Thousands of flowering trees line various streets throughout the Greater Victoria area, adding an explosion of colour to neighbourhoods and creating beautiful canopies over the roads and sidewalks.

There are bloom-worthy snaps all over the city and it is hard to narrow down all of the very best spots, however, it doesn’t mean we can’t try!

Here’s our selection of some of the must-see streets in and around Victoria to see the cherry blossoms bloom over the next few weeks.

These locations were chosen based on the following hand-picked criteria:

  • Number of trees
  • Density of blossoms
  • Canopy size and effect
  • Overall aesthetic

This is by no means an exhaustive list and there are many stunning spots not featured in this article, but for anyone hoping to enjoy some of the blossoms this year, this can be a place to start!

Check out our interactive map in order to find our highlighted, must-see locations. If visiting these streets to take in the cherry blossoms, please remember to be respectful of the residents and the area and don’t forget to practice physical distancing.
