The  Arts Council’s ‘Victoria Arts NOW’ show featured dozens of pieces including works by some talented teenagers.

Victoria’s Atrium on Yates was packed this past week with paintings & sketches, photos, ceramics and more, showcasing the wealth of artistic talent in the capital city.

Included for the first time this year was a 14-19-year-old category and although only of few juried pieces were accepted, they were an eye-opening addition to the show.

Grace Neeson, a Camosun student displayed an acrylic landscape of the Ogden Point breakwater while GNS student Tori Windle featured a couple of ‘dot’ art pieces.

Both girls, who brought along their portfolio’s to show us, will soon be headed off their perspective post secondary art schools in hopes of becoming full time artists.
