There were some tense moments for Victoria Police officers tonight following a complaint from a caller that they’d had a firearm pointed at them during an altercation.
The incident, believed to be a case of road rage, took place around 6:30 pm on Douglas Street near Burnside Road East.
Patrol officers responding to the call then tracked down a potential suspect to an address on the 1400-block of Edgeware Road.
Soon after, several officers could be seen surrounding the home near Hillside Mall, guns drawn.
The block was cordoned off as the police operation unfolded over the next hour, ending around 8 pm.
Victoria Police say three people were taken into custody.
No word yet if any of them will face charges.
The investigation continues.
