Thousands of people expected to be at Beban Park in Nanaimo for the next three days for the 122nd Vancouver Island Exhibition
One of the most popular summer events of the year is underway in the Harbour City.
Tractors and trains, snow cones and the ferris wheel.
This year’s Vancouver Island Exhibition is underway in Nanaimo.
It’s the 122nd year for the event and thousands are expected to visit the fairgrounds at Beban Park over the next three days.
“We definitely make our event for all age groups,” says Stephen Kass from the VI Exhibition.
“Everybody from the toddler that goes to our kids zone or our adults that come visit us on the main stage and watch our entertainment so it’s a fun event for everybody all ages.”
There is livestock, other exhibitions, a horse show, celebrity goat milking and all sorts of other attractions.
The exhibition runs til Sunday.
