WATCH: Saanich fundraiser in advance of walk to help end global poverty
The countdown is on to Vancouver Island’s biggest event aimed at ending global poverty.
The World Partnership Walk will be held in Victoria and across the country at the end of the month and this weekend, we’re learning more about this important cause.
The ‘Together Truck’ was on hand for a walk fundraiser at the Cordova Bay Pharmacy.
The huge travelling exhibit is driving change across Canada by showcasing the work Canadians are doing all over the world with Global Affairs Canada to improve living conditions and to help end global poverty.
]To that end, the World Partnership Walk has raised more than $95 million in the last three decades with all funds going directly to programs run by the Aga Khan Foundation aimed at improving health and education for people in impoverished communities.
