Tally Ho Inn to be transformed into low barrier housing

The former sports bar will be transformed into low barrier housing for Victoria’s homeless.

The bar served its last beer in February.

The property, in the 3-thousand block of Douglas Street was purchased by the province for approximately $ 9.3 million.

It will provide 52 units of housing for low to moderate income individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues.

The building will be owned and operated by the Cool Aid Society.
