Two men alleged to have been involved in what was described as a random assault of a 45-year old Chemainus man have now come forward to police.
The alleged attack took place on Victoria Road in Chemainus on Tuesday, July 12th at around 5:30 pm.
After the RCMP launched a public appeal for information, two men went to the North Cowichan/Duncan detachment to speak with investigators regarding their involvement in the incident.
As a result, police now feel there is no threat to public safety and no charges are being recommended at this time.
