Victoria Police took a suspect into custody Wednesday night following a robbery at a gas station on Craigflower Road.
Officers were called to the Petro-Canada station around 6 p.m.
A man had entered the business and demanded cash and cigarettes.
He then fled, heading towards the Gorge Waterway, apparently discarding clothes he wore during the alleged crime.
A VicPD canine unit was also called in.
The suspect ran into the Gorge Pointe Pub Liquor Store where police managed to apprehend him.
He was arrested without further incident.
